I am an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Purdue University Northwest. My current research specialties and interests include:

Brief Bio: Colin Elkin received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tulsa in 2013. He earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Toledo in 2015 and 2018, respectively. His PhD dissertation was supported by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) through two research awards, a Dayton Area Graduate Studies Institute (DAGSI) fellowship and an AFRL subcontract through Soar Technology, Inc. He has also engaged in research efforts that have been funded by NSF, the Ohio Federal Research Network (OFRN), and industry. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Purdue University Northwest, where he teaches courses in microprocessor design, probabilistic theory, and C++ and MATLAB programming.

Students: I am currently seeking undergraduate and graduate students on either campus for any of the above research areas beginning in Fall 2019. This includes MS thesis research, senior design projects, and paid hourly undergraduate research. Interested students can reach out to me at cpe@pnw.edu.
